Hymn 831

VERSE 1
Now is the judgement of the earth;
Appear before the Lord with awe,
And tremble at the sight of Him
Now, as the time is running out.

VERSE 2
Judgement of God, perfect and just,
He pays His reward truthfully,
In His fear should we live and move
Before His presence, none can hide.

VERSE 3
In righteousness the Lord judges;
Do what is right, the Lord is just;
He is cunning to the perverse,
So walk in the fear of the Lord.

VERSE 4
God’s judgement, lo! exempts no one
All creatures, the living, the dead
The mountains, seas, sun, moon, and stars
All shall, at His judgement appear.

VERSE 5
Lo! now, the King sits on His Throne
Dwellers on earth, gird up your loins
For He judges heaven and earth
Truly, according to their works.
