Hymn 860

VERSE 1
Early in the morning, we come
To offer thanks to Thee
For Thou alone art Mighty God
Glory be to Thee, Lord.

VERSE 2
Early in the morning we come
For our lives, Thee to praise
Which we on earth receive by grace
Glory be to Thee, Lord.

VERSE 3
Early in the morning, we come
Lord, straighten Thou our way
Seal on our foreheads, signs, we pray
Equip us for the day.

VERSE 4
And in this Thy new day, O! Lord
Do protect us, O! God
And hold us, Olumba Obu
With Thy great peaceful hands.

VERSE 5
O! Father, in this Thy new day
Upon Thee Lord we call
To bless and keep us, lest we fall
Throughout this brand new day.

Amen
