Hymn 89

VERSE 1
If all men were kings,
Who would be the subject?
Wait patiently
There is time for everything.

VERSE 2
If all men were strong
Where would soldiers be kept?
To contain war
When course of peace is threatened.

VERSE 3
If all men were Christ
Who would we give reverence?
To the most high
Accord Him adoration.

VERSE 4
If all were servants
Who would be the master?
Wait patiently
For God’s ways, none comprehend.

Amen
