VERSE 1
Men anxiously do often wonder
The mystery behind man’s short stay on earth
Death, though strong has finite power
Christ our Lord has conquered death.

VERSE 2
O! wake and rise ye breathless dreamer
You are freed by our Lord, the Redeemer
Rise O! dead souls and hear His voice
For He gives eternal choice.

VERSE 3
When our earthly toil in life is done
When our hungry taste for sin is all gone
When all the stings of death is stilled
Thy gracious word fulfilled.
