Hymn 389

VERSE 1
The heart with true repentance
Sanctified by blood of Christ
Cleansing it as white as snow
Is made righteous before God.

VERSE 2
O! I come with flowing tears
Lord wipe away all my sins
Confessing my sins, I’m here;
Great Father, Thy mercy show.

VERSE 3
Thee I seek, OlumbaObu
Thee I displeased with my deeds;
Justice proceeds from Thee, Lord
Cast me not from Thy presence.

VERSE 4
With repentant heart I come
Poor wretched sinner like me
Wash me clean from all my sins
Lord take not Thy pow’r from me.

VERSE 5
I surrender Lord to Thee;
Use me when, and at Thy will,
To Thee belong all glory;
Olumba Thy mercy show.

Amen
