VERSE 1
Clean my heart Olumba
Let it be your dwelling place
Cause me to think good all the time
That you depart not from my life.
VERSE 2
Let me see the future
And let my senses procure
Known and unknown things of this world
To lift me higher than the monk.
VERSE 3
Use me Lord to dispel
Negative force in my world
Which is behind or whip infant
That stands around to quench my star.
VERSE 4
Let my flesh turn to light
That will ignite my whole life
And let the flash of that my light,
To be the pattern for my life.
VERSE 5
Build my tongue to produce
Words that are sweet like real food
For I am salt, seasoned with taste
Let not my taste be spat away.
VERSE 6
Thou O! God of nature
Supreme Spirit and awesome
Let all my will be as you want
Keep me fully at Thy command.
Amen
