Hymn 407

VERSE 1
Of a truth saith the Lord
"There be some gathered here
Who shall not taste of death
Till they see God’s kingdom day"

VERSE 2
Let the wheat and the tares
In the farm both be there
Till Thou, Lord of harvest
Gather wheat into Thy barn.

VERSE 3
We are mixed, sheep and goats
Help us together grow
Tend us all, feed us, both
Till the time of Harvest comes.

VERSE 4
Though the world laugh and jeer
may we not be ashamed.
Keep us all, by Thy side
Till past is the storm of life.

VERSE 5
In trials, temptations
And in tribulation
Be Thou our defender
And keep us free from them all.

VERSE 6
Father, Great Olumba
Giver of what is good
keep us in Brotherhood
Till we see the promised day.

VERSE 7
Help us, Lord, now and e’er
Run this race, patiently
That we who’d been with Thee
Will be first and not the last.

Amen
