    THE EXCRUCIATING PAIN YOU SUFFERED

    VERSE 1
    The excruciating pain you suffered
    For my sake, I'll not forget.
    When You were crucified on the cross
    In order to set me free.

    VERSE 2
    Let not the pleasures and worldly cares
    Blind me to the graciousness
    Magnanimously shown, on that day
    On the cross, You died for me.

    VERSE 3
    Only I ask Thee, gracious Father,
    To put Your hands around me;
    Let nothing separate me from You,
    Let me dwell with You for e'er.

    VERSE 4
    Let me shun all sinful ways, O! Lord;
    Washed away were former sins
    By Your suffering and death on the cross,
    Let me now be wholly Yours.

    VERSE 5
    And now O! Lord, provide me with pow'r
    And fill me with Your Spirit;
    When I am cumbered with affliction,
    Lord, my benefactor, be.

    Amen
