VERSE 1
When the time for our Lord Jesus
To leave His children was accomplished.
Told His gathered disciples that
He was returning to the Father.
Refrain
To the Father ‘tis good that I go,
The comforter I will send to you.
To lead you to the knowledge of truth.
VERSE 2
Many things I have to tell you,
Yet you are unable now to hear,
When the Spirit of truth cometh,
He will lead you wholly to the truth.
VERSE 3
Do not let your hearts be troubled;
Verily do I say unto you,
The Comforter, I’ll send to you.
To lead you in the knowledge of truth.
VERSE 4
For He shall not speak of Himself,
Nor shall again speak in parables,
But shall reveal unto you all,
What I have taught you in parables.
Amen
