Hymn 633

VERSE 1
When Pilate saw our Lord Jesus he said
Speak for yourself else I will judge
The multitude say you are God
Speak for yourself else I will condemn you.

VERSE 2
I have nothing against laws of Moses
These were the words of Jesus Christ
The very people whom He saved
Killing Him against the natural laws.

VERSE 3
Pilate said I have nothing against you
Since it is the wish of the Jews
I will deliver you to them
To be crucified on the cross of shame.

VERSE 4
What greater love has any man than this
For the atonement of our sins
He died on the cross of calv’ry
Pleading the Father to forgive them all.

Amen
