VERSE 1
Christ humiliation on the cross
No person on earth has suffered
The reviling thief, not exception
In His usual love, He uttered not a word.

VERSE 2
If Thou be the Christ, said the Jews
come down from the cross that we know
That Thou art the real chosen of God
In His usual love, He uttered not a word.

VERSE 3
The soldiers also came and mocked
Parted His raiment and cast lots
Gave Him vinegar mixed with hyssop
In His usual love, He uttered not a word.

VERSE 4
The people then stood beholding
And the rulers too deriding
Mocking and laughing at the Saviour
In His usual love, He uttered not a word.

VERSE 5
Father, forgive them, they know not
What they have done unto Thy son
Was the only word, uttered by Him
In His usual love, Christ uttered no wrong word
