Hymn 742

VERSE 1
For only Thou hast the pow’r to save
Thy children from all forms of evil.
O! Lord now that Thou has giv’n Thy words
Give us the grace to abide in them.

Refrain
Great Teacher of the new age
Give us the grace to practise Thy words
From the mode of ignorance
Take us to the mode of righteousness.

VERSE 2
Guide us to show love to all brethren
That we may live with all men in love
In the weaknesses of our neighbours
Let us endure them with Thy great love.

VERSE 3
The teachings which Thou has giv’n to us
Tis the recondite wisdom from God
We give Thee thanks and honour Father
Thou has shown us the path of goodness.

Amen
