Hymn 788

VERSE 1
Father, we give Thee thanks,
For, by Thy great love,
Thou givest us this food,
And may we in deep reverence take.

VERSE 2
Thou givest us the word,
To guide us through life;
This word is light divine,
Making our souls with radiance glow.

VERSE 3
The fruits which Thou givest,
Strengtheneth all souls
Rejuvenating same,
Serving as a balm for our health.

VERSE 4
Let the food Thou givest,
Nourish Lord, our souls
Let the water we drink,
Become Thy cleansing blood and peace.

Amen
