Hymn 839

VERSE 1
What God has joined together
Let no one put asunder
They are two now, being made one
So! let no one put asunder.

VERSE 2
It had been approved by God
A man shall leave his parents
And cleave unto his own wife
And they two become one in flesh.

VERSE 3
God Himself has approved it
Therefore let no one intrude
For God has joined them as one
To live in God’s love for ever.

Amen
