Hymn 921

VERSE 1
Almighty God we come before Thee,
This eventide, Thy name do we praise,
For Thy great care that keeps us free
From danger, our voices we raise.

VERSE 2
To Thee, our evening song we present
O! Thou redeemer of human race
From us, Thy great hand doth prevent
The day’s perils; accept our praise.

VERSE 3
The rushing day is now at closing;
All toil and care are brought to a close,
Darkness of night now approaching
May we, sleeping on Thee, repose.

VERSE 4
Thy care’s so certain over Thine own
Thou didst guard and guide us through the day
As night approaches, to Thee do
We yield our spirit for Thy care.

Amen
