Hymn 966

VERSE 1
Almighty and most glorious God
Before Thy feet we kneel,
To magnify Thy greatness Lord
And perfect peace demand.

VERSE 2
O! God of our Fathers of old,
Grant us Thy peaceful reign,
As we in this new year begin,
And guide us by Thy hand.

VERSE 3
Be our mentor in everything,
Through life’s struggle on earth,
And our divine benefactor,
Onward from this new year.

VERSE 4
Lord make this the year of plenty,
Free from captivity,
Starting the year of jubilee,
A year of peace and love.

Amen
